Jam3ah — student app

This Privacy Policy explains how the Jam3ah student application (the “App”) handles information. The App lets Jam3ah students see their private lesson schedule, join online classes, watch class recordings, request sessions, chat with the Jam3ah team and their teachers, and see their hours balance and receipts. By “we”, “us”, and “Jam3ah” we mean the operator of Jam3ah.

Information we collect

Account details. Your name, email address, WhatsApp phone number, and a password (stored only as a secure cryptographic hash). The phone number is used to connect your account to your existing lesson history with Jam3ah, after a manual review by our team.
Lesson data. Your scheduled and past sessions, teacher names, class recordings of your own sessions, your hours balance, and your payment receipts with Jam3ah.
Messages. Conversations you start in the App with the Jam3ah team or with your teachers, including photos and files you choose to attach.
Feedback. Pre-class preferences and star ratings you submit about your sessions.
Device push token. If you enable notifications, an anonymous push token for your device so we can deliver session reminders, recording alerts, chat messages and account updates.
Session-request materials. When you request a session you can attach files (homework, past papers, a photo of an exercise, a PDF or a document) and type a note. These files and the note are sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to analyse the material and suggest a teacher. We never send your account name, phone number or email as part of that data — but a file you upload may itself contain a name (for example a worksheet with your name written on it), and we do not remove it, so this data is not anonymous. Anthropic's copy of each uploaded file expires within 7 days; that is the expiry of the uploaded file, not Anthropic's own retention period — Anthropic's own retention terms apply to what its API processes. We delete the files and any text extracted from them from our servers 90 days after the request is closed — or, if a request is never closed, 90 days after the last activity on it. Attaching files is optional; the request itself (subject, level, preferred dates) stays as part of your lesson history.

مواد طلب الحصة: عند طلب حصة يمكنك إرفاق ملفات (واجب، أوراق اختبارات سابقة، صورة لتمرين، ملف PDF أو مستند) وكتابة ملاحظة. تُرسل هذه الملفات والملاحظة إلى Anthropic، مزوّد الذكاء الاصطناعي لدينا، لتحليل المادة واقتراح معلم. لا نرسل اسم حسابك أو رقم هاتفك أو بريدك الإلكتروني ضمن هذه البيانات — لكن الملف الذي ترفعه قد يحتوي هو نفسه على اسم (مثل ورقة عمل مكتوب عليها اسمك) ولا نقوم بإزالته، لذا لا تُعدّ هذه البيانات مجهولة الهوية. تنتهي صلاحية نسخة Anthropic من كل ملف مرفوع خلال 7 أيام؛ وهذا هو انتهاء صلاحية الملف المرفوع وليس مدة احتفاظ Anthropic بالبيانات — إذ تنطبق شروط الاحتفاظ الخاصة بـ Anthropic على ما تعالجه واجهتها البرمجية. ونحذف الملفات وأي نص مستخرج منها من خوادمنا بعد 90 يوماً من إغلاق الطلب. إرفاق الملفات اختياري؛ ويبقى الطلب نفسه (المادة والمرحلة والتواريخ المفضلة) ضمن سجل حصصك.

How we use it

To show you your own schedule, recordings, balance and receipts.
To operate the in-app chat with our team and your teachers.
To send you the notifications you have enabled (you can switch each category off in the App's Profile tab).
To contact you about your lessons.

AI-assisted teacher matching

When you send a session request, the files you attach and the note you type are sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, through its API. Anthropic's AI reads the material and the note, describes what the class is about (subject, level, topics) and suggests which of our teachers fits best. A Jam3ah staff member or our own system still makes the actual booking — the AI only suggests.

What we send: the files you attached and your note, plus the subject and level you chose. What we do not send: your account name, phone number or email as data. Please note that a file you upload may carry a name or other personal details inside it (a worksheet with your name on it, a school header), and we do not strip that out — so the material you attach cannot be treated as anonymous. Attaching files is your choice: a request can be sent with no files at all, and your note is still analysed.

Retention: Anthropic's copy of each uploaded file expires within 7 days. That is the expiry of the uploaded file object; it is not Anthropic's own data-retention period — Anthropic's own retention terms apply to what its API processes. On our side, we delete the uploaded files and any text extracted from them 90 days after the request is closed — or, if a request is never closed, 90 days after the last activity on it. The request record itself (subject, level, preferred dates) stays as part of your lesson history. We do not use your materials to train anything, and we do not send them to anyone other than Anthropic.

اختيار المعلم بمساعدة الذكاء الاصطناعي: عند إرسال طلب حصة، تُرسل الملفات التي ترفقها والملاحظة التي تكتبها إلى Anthropic، مزوّد الذكاء الاصطناعي لدينا، عبر واجهتها البرمجية. يقرأ الذكاء الاصطناعي المادة والملاحظة ويصف موضوع الحصة (المادة والمرحلة والمواضيع) ويقترح المعلم الأنسب من معلمينا، بينما يظل الحجز الفعلي بيد أحد موظفي Jam3ah أو نظامنا — فالذكاء الاصطناعي يقترح فقط. ما نرسله: الملفات المرفقة وملاحظتك، مع المادة والمرحلة التي اخترتها. ما لا نرسله: اسم حسابك أو رقم هاتفك أو بريدك الإلكتروني كبيانات. لكن الملف الذي ترفعه قد يحمل اسماً أو تفاصيل شخصية بداخله (ورقة عمل عليها اسمك، ترويسة مدرسة) ولا نزيلها، لذا لا يمكن اعتبار المواد المرفقة مجهولة الهوية. إرفاق الملفات اختيارك: يمكن إرسال الطلب دون أي ملفات، وتُحلَّل ملاحظتك مع ذلك. الاحتفاظ بالبيانات: تنتهي صلاحية نسخة Anthropic من كل ملف مرفوع خلال 7 أيام، وهذا انتهاء صلاحية الملف المرفوع وليس مدة احتفاظ Anthropic بالبيانات — إذ تنطبق شروط الاحتفاظ الخاصة بـ Anthropic على ما تعالجه واجهتها البرمجية. ومن جهتنا نحذف الملفات المرفوعة وأي نص مستخرج منها بعد 90 يوماً من إغلاق الطلب، أو بعد 90 يوماً من آخر نشاط على الطلب إذا لم يُغلق، ويبقى سجل الطلب نفسه (المادة والمرحلة والتواريخ المفضلة) ضمن سجل حصصك. لا نستخدم موادك لتدريب أي شيء، ولا نرسلها إلى أي جهة أخرى غير Anthropic.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers.
The only third party that receives your uploaded materials is our AI provider, for the purpose above.
We do not show your information to other students. Group classes show other participants only as a count, never by name or number.
The App contains no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

Storage and security

Your data is stored in Jam3ah's private database. Passwords are hashed, sign-in tokens are stored hashed, and class recordings are streamed to your signed-in device through our own server. Access to your data inside Jam3ah is limited to authorized staff and, for lesson-related information only, your own teachers. Materials you upload with a session request are stored in Jam3ah's private database until they are deleted, 90 days after the request closes — or 90 days after its last activity if it never closes; the teacher who is offered your request can see them while the request is open.

Retention and deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from the App (Profile → Delete account, confirmed with your password). Deleting the account removes your sign-in, anonymizes the account record (name, phone and email are cleared), and disconnects it from your lesson history. Records Jam3ah must keep for its own bookkeeping (lesson and payment history) are retained in the internal system, no longer connected to an app account. Deleting your account does not by itself delete the materials of your past session requests earlier than the 90-day rule above; they are deleted on that schedule, or sooner if you ask us by email.

Children

Jam3ah provides private lessons to school and university students. Accounts for younger students are expected to be created and managed by a parent or guardian using the family's WhatsApp number.
